Preview of Conversational Mandarin Lessons

华语会话 (hua yu hui hua)
Conversational Mandarin

Elementary Basic = up to 1,000 Chinese characters,
Beginner =1,000 to 2,500 characters,
Intermediate = 2,500 to 4,000 characters,
Advance = 4,000 characters and more

Generally speaking, each character stands for a meaningful syllable.
The total number of Chinese characters is estimated
at more than 47,000 of which only 5, 000 - 8,000 are in common use.
Of these merely 3,000 are used for everyday purposes.

Elememtary Basic to Beginner
Levels : Target: 1,000 to 2,500 Chinese characters
Part 1 consists of 10 lessons, Lesson 1 to 10, focus on everyday common situational conversation. ( see course outline below )


Part 2 consists of Lesson 11 to 20 (Target: 2,500 Chinese characters), focus on (preliminary content)
